2009 BMW F 800 R was launched at EICMA 2008 as the new naked middleweight series. The sibling of F 800 S and a little brother of the BMW K 1300 R is special naked since it has twin engine.
2009 BMW F 800 R is powered by a 798 cc engine, liquid cooled, V-Twin, six-speed gearbox, with high compression ratio of 12.0 : 1. Feeding the engine is a electronic injection, digital engine electronics (BMS-KP). And an ultramodern roadster look combined with the unmistakable face of BMW Motorrad delivers 65ft-lb torque at 6,000rpm and 87bhp at 8,000rp.
The naked bike with a completely black finish has a wet weight of 204kg, 43mm non-USD forks at the front, monoshock rear and chain final drive, as opposed to belt on previous F800s. It has 320mm Brembo discs at front, a single 265mm disc at the rear brake.
